Carmon L. Rushing, 82, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on May 13, 1931 in Rushing, Arkansas to the late Clay Rushing and Ina Hinesley Rushing. Carmon was a retired Federal Employee from Eaker Air Force Base in Blytheville, Arkansas. He was a member and Deacon of First Free Will Baptist Church in Conway.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Jinks Rushing; two brothers- Rodney Rushing of Rushing, Arkansas, and Charles A. Rushing of Benton, Arkansas; one daughter- Cathy Detwiler of Jackson, Tennessee; two sons- David Rushing of Denton, Texas and Brian Rushing of Collierville, Tennessee as well as seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00PM on Saturday May 10, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Rev. Tim Harris officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Internment will follow at Rushing Cemetery in Stone County, Arkansas.
Carmon was a wonderful neighbor, church member and friend. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. May God bless you, Doris and family, and give you peace and comfort. You will be together again.

I am deeply saddened by his passing. I was so blessed to have him in my life. He will be missed greatly. What a wonderful, kind, loving man. I could not ask for a better Grandfather for my children. May you find peace in time and know that he is in a better place with the lord.

It saddens me to hear of Carmon's passing. He was one of the best men who I've had the privilege of knowing. My thoughts, love, and prayers are with Doris and family. Great memories of Carmon and the family! I am a better person because I knew Carmon.
