I'll never forget what a wonderful friend Derotha was to my mother, Mary Cranford. When mother became home bound, she was the one friend mother could count on. They were what true friends are all about. Derotha was kind, loving, gentle and understanding. She loved her family and was so proud of her boys. My heart is with you during this difficult time.

Dear Family,
Derotha was such a classic southern woman, sweet, gentle, caring, and helpful, she helped me get my first job at JCPenny's years ago. I know heaven is her home now! I hope you take comfort in all the beautiful memories that are left to cherish. God bless you all during this time of grief.

I will never forget all the kindness Derotha showed to me when I was a part of the Hutsell family. We reconnected later when she lived next door to my mother-in-law, Julia Ernest. She was such a good neighbor to Julia, and they became great friends. She was a wonderful example of Christian love, and I know she will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

When we think of Derotha, we remember what a compassionate, encouraging & committed prayer warrior she was for our family in 1973. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
We love you,

Mike and Diane-Matthew,Angela, Allison & Steven-We have come to love your Mom as we all have become 'family' through our Granddaughter Angela & Matthew's marriage. Your Mom has become another grandmother to Angela embracing her like another granddaughter;and such a beautiful family member to all of us, Angela's family. We will miss her kindness and goodness. We wrap our arms around you, her children, and share in your sorrow and loss. We love you. Terry and Fran West, Nina and G.W. Nix.

Mike and Dwain,
My heart truly goes out to you and your family.
I love your Mom. Derotha was a big part of my
Life growing up. From teaching Sunday School,
Making pretty little dresses to singing by her in
The church choir.
I had a nice visit with Derotha last week. One
Thing that stands out in my mind is how she would
Glow when I ask her about you boy's. You have been good
Son's to your loving Mom. Love you and God Bless.
