March 23, 1934 - April 19, 2014
Nelle M. Wood Meeks, 80 of Mayflower passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014. She was born March 23, 1934 in Heath, Kentucky to the late Benjamin Wood and Ruth Ladd Wood.
She was a retired Legal Aide for the State of Arkansas working in the Central Office, member of the Eastern Star, member of Mayflower United Methodist Church and the widow of James W. Meeks.
Nelle is survived by her daughter Burta Meeks Wolfe (Michael) of Mayflower, granddaughter, Sunni Wolfe of Mayflower, her brother, James Wood of Marion, Kentucky and her grand puppy, Steve.
She has gone to meet her beloved husband of thirty-four years, James, her beloved mother Ruth, her two sisters Milly and Mary, a beloved sister-in-law Beulah, and a niece, Carol.
A visitation will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 6 to 8pm.
Nelle Meeks was a very sweet lady...always had a pleasant greeting to all who knew her and only had nice things to say about others.
Nelle loved her family very much James, Berta and Sunni..the last time we spoke, she said she was tired and ready to meet the Lord and she will be missed. I am so sorry I could not be there tonite for her service...you girls cherish her memory always.
