I feel truly honored and blessed to be Steve's daughter in law for the last six years. Steve always treated me like family even before Shaun and I were married. He was the best father in law that I could have ever asked for. I will always remember Steve as being one of the strongest most intelligent men that I have ever had the pleasure of not only knowing, but being a part of his family. I have many fond memories of Steve from trips to the beach, to him comforting me after my grandfather had passed, our trip to Great Lakes to see Shaun graduate from boot camp. Steve was sick when I decided to go back to college, but supported me and showed such pride. I love you, Steve Johnson. Thank you for always being such an amazing father in law to me and always treating me like a part of your beautiful family. I will miss our talks about God and religion and the military life. I will miss you. Sharon, Laurie, Shaun, and Claudia, I am so sorry for your loss. I love you guys

I had the honor and privilege of working with Steve for 6 years. He was my boss and was the best one I've ever had. He was kind, he was fair and he had great work ethic and integrity. Besides being my boss, he was a good friend. Last year I got to see Steve and Sharon while he was in the hospital in south Alabama. The strong gentle giant I had worked for looked so frail and it hurt my heart...he and I both cried that day. I held his hand and prayed for him...I'm SO glad I had that opportunity...not only for him, but for me. He was loved, he will be greatly missed and I will be praying for his family in the weeks and months ahead for their great loss.

I did not have the privilege of knowing Mr. Johnson but, through his daughter, I can attest to a profound sense of integrity, honor and loyalty to family that is a reflection of this wonderful person. God Bless.

There is not enough space here for me to write about everything Steve has done for me. He was my mentor, my tutor, sometimes my father figure, my golf partner and most of all he was my BEST FRIEND!
Steve was certainly a man of God. He was also a man of integrity like none I have ever met. He was truthful honest and caring.
I know now that he is resting with our Lord after a rough journey. Although on the other hand I feel his Spirit is flying around to visit everyone of us who loved him.
There were times when we would be out and he would say some off the wall comment and I would always ask how Sharon keeps from hitting him in the head with an iron skillet when he's sleeping.
Ah the good times were a-plenty.
See you on the other side Poppy.

Love always Bob

Blessings to all~~~

My prayers are with the entire family during this difficult loss. The only positive thing is that he is with our Lord and Savior and no longer suffering. He has a new body and Heaven has gained a mighty warrior!
