Sam Bearman Hunt went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on April 14, 2014. He was born May 25, 1923, in Lincoln, Alabama to Alvin Grady Hunt and Myrtle Golden Hunt. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lanell Hunt, four children; Sam Richard Hunt, of Abilene, TX, Sharon Kay Hunt, of De Queen , AR, Cheryl Hunt Lominick(Michael) of Jacksonville, FL, and Charles Michael Hunt, of Alexander, AR, three step-children; Ben Miller(Georgia), of Mayflower, AR, Dennis Miller, of Benton, AR, and Phil Miller (Debra), of Benton, AR, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Naval Veteran stationed at Pensacola, FL as a flight engineer on a PBY Naval plane. He flew air-sea rescue between Pearl Harbor and Pensacola after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
Sam was employed by American Motors for 30 years as Assistant Zone Manager in Atlanta, and later as District Manager in Little Rock, AR. After he retired he and his wife Lanell owned and operated River City Coffee, Tea and Candy Company of Little Rock, Arkansas for 17 years.
Sam was a true sportsman. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing at every opportunity, but he loved his family most of all.
Sam was predeceased by his parents; Alvin Grady Hunt and Myrtle Golden Hunt and his sister Imogene Hunt Moran.
Sam was of the Baptist faith and a born-again Christian.

The family would like to say thank you to his wonderful caregivers at home and at Hospice Home Care Inpatient Center.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., at Roller Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211 (501) 224-8300. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M., prior to the service. Graveside services will be Monday, April 21, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72120.
