of Enola,
January 15, 1930 - April 7, 2014
Edna Jean Keathley Bell Smith, 84, was born on January 15th, 1930, in Enola, Arkansas to Frank Shannon Keathley and Marinda Polk Keathley. She passed from this life at her home on Turkey Creek just north of Enola on April 7th with her family and friends by her side.
Jean was preceded in death by both parents, husband Neil Bell and husband Fayburn Smith, infant sister, Sybil Juanita, and stepson David Smith.
She is survived by two sons David Bell of Enola and James Bell of Conway, and stepdaughter Sandra Franklin of Quitman. Jean has many grand, great, and even great-great grandchildren.
Jean retired as a State of Arkansas employee serving as office administrator for the Conway health department for 28 years. She loved to pass her time growing flowers, huge gardens, cooking, sewing, and crocheting. Jean's greatest joy was giving of herself to others. She loved to cook and serve huge meals to friends and family, share her garden, and take food and gifts to those grieving over lost loved ones and those in need. Jean worked after retirement in nursing homes and in homes of the elderly and needy. She worked at the Enola School as a member of the PTA on fund raisers and to help the school where her husband Fayburn Smith served as superintendent.

Our hearts and prayers go out to you fine folks during this time of loss. A few months ago the Collins family had the honor of installing a new roof for this fine lady and her family. Later on we installed an roof for her son in Conway. I enjoyed visiting with her and her family. I could tell she was a special lady. She will be missed. Your family will be in my prayers in the days and weeks to come that God will comfort your hearts as only He can.
Sincerely,
Dale Collins and family
