Edward Lee Herlein 89, Cherokee Village, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born October 6, 1924 in Memphis, TN to Phil and Ethel Schneider Herlein.

Mr. Herlein was of the Catholic faith and attended St Mary's in Helena. He owned and retired from Helena Electric Co. He was a marine and loved hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nell C Herlein and wife, Betty Hardwick Herlein; and one brother, Phil Herlein.

Survivors include sons, Jody Herlein of Cherokee Village and Bud Herlein of Fayetville; a daughter, Cindy Runken of Nesbitt, MS; grandchildren, Shawna Lyons, Trey and Todd Herlein, Jody Jr and Cid Herlein, Chad Runken and Lance Blackburn.

A graveside service will be held at St. Mary's at a later date.

Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.

To the family of Eddie Herlein:
My Dad and Eddie were best buds at the Mist Deer Camp in Hamburg. My dad was Bobby Stell I think you might remember him. I have such fond memories of your dad.. He was a mess to say the least.
