Gayle Elder, 75, of Mayflower, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was born on August 1, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Otto Louis and Julia Marie (Gossett) Miller.
She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church and a current member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Conway. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Gayle had a bachelor's degree from the Memphis State University. She was a Master Gardener and a Cub Scout leader.
Gayle is survived by her husband, C.W. Elder, Jr., of Mayflower; son, C.W. Elder III of Golden, Colorado; daughter, Julia Lee Jackson Elder Howard and husband Kyle of Maumelle; two grandchildren, Sierra Nicole and Savanna Lee Woodham and a sister, Shirley Williams of Memphis.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Lee Herbert; brothers, Owen and Paul Miller.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2014, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Conway. Arrangements are by Roller- McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
Mr Elder, CW and Julia, I am so sorry to here about Mrs. Elder. She was a great lady I always loved seeing her come in the office and visit. Mr. Elder I hope you are doing ok, I miss seeing you. I wish ya'll the best in your time of loss and you are all in my prayers.

Gayle's smile lit up the room! She was a sweet lady and it was a pleasure to get to know her when I worked at St. Andrews. Wishing her family peace & comfort.
I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Gail's passing. She was a wonderful, sweet lady, with a fine family. She will be missed.
