I remember going to Isaac and Mary's house when I was a young girl. We lived in Roland for a while but moved to NLR. My dad (Floyd Benson) passed away in 86' and we lost touch. Praying for the family. May God give you comfort during this difficult time.
So sorry to learn tonight of the passing of a wonderful man, a great husband and father, and someone I considered a friend, Isaac Benson. To Mary and the children let me say how wonderful your father and husband always treated me. His kindness was overwhelming and I always thought the world of him. He was always willing to help me with anything I was trying to accomplish. When I first came to Monnie Springs I had never hunted a day in my life, and trying to fit in I took it up. I know that when I would leave his presence he had to smile and even laugh at how green I was, but he always helped me. I will never froget one day at Martha's Cafe when some of the other men in the community was making fun of me Isaac came to my defense and told the others to stop giving me a hard time, and they stopped. Take comfort tonight and in the days to come in your great memories of a truly good man. Robbie Hoover
