November 4, 1931 - January 28, 2014

O.Z. Sharp, 82, of Benton, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on November 4,1931 to the late Luther and Dora (Suggs) Sharp in Alley,Arkansas. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mattie Faye (Pettit) Sharp.

Mr. Sharp was a retired Logger and of the Jehovah's Witness faith.

Survivors include two daughters; Avaline Sharp of Benton, Loretta Keener, and her fiance', Craig Helvey of Benton, three grandchildren; Tasha Keener, Stephanie Bradshaw, Ashton Gunawan, and her husband, Wawan, four great-grandchildren; Lana Moore, Brian Bradshaw, Sierra Beckham, Carla Keener, one sister; Oleta Morphew, and her husband, Vick, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2014 at Social Hill Cemetery with Bro. Ralph Pettit and Bro. Dale Wilson officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2014 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home(501)315-4047.

Serving as pallbearers are Wawan Gunawan, Bartolo Yon, Darren Alsup, Vick Morphew, Hubert Thornberry, Dale Taylor.

So sorry to hear about your Dad. He was always so special to me. I remember him when he hauled pulpwood at Paron. He was always so kind and polite. He was a good hard working man.

I'm so sorry for your loss! It's times like these we need comfort. God's word can soothe our hearts and minds. The Bible says at Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." We look to God through Jesus and his Kingdom to do this. My wife and I hope you find comfort as you endure your loss.
