Opal Laverne (Susie) Barret, 80, of England, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 17th, 2013.She was born in Keo, Arkansas March 31st, 1933 to Jack Skaggs and Mamie Weston Skaggs.
She went to the Pentecost Church of God where she was a member of the PLA. Opal was known to many children as ''Nanny''. She loved her family and carried on the tradition of a family reunion every year on Labor Day weekend.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob Barret; two brothers: Jack and Robert Skaggs; three sons: Randall, William and Sammy Barret. She is survived by one son: Robert Barret and his wife Diane of California; three daughters: Vanessa Webb (Hubert), Debbie Duggan (Ricky) of England, and Patricia Alberson (Larry) of Humnoke; six grandchildren: Randall Webb and Katie of Sherrill, Kari Edwards and Cole of England, Julia Powell and Bryan of Humnoke, Bradley Hensley, Mackenzie Duggan and Michelle Barret all of England; seven great-grandchildren: Whitney Webb, Bailey Webb and Wesley Webb all of Sherrill; Avery and Addisyn Edwards, Morgan and Samantha Stager all of England; two sisters: Lula Ann Jackson of England and Patsy Whittenberg of Jacksonville; two brothers: Bobby Joe Skaggs (Patricia) of Jacksonville and Alfred Skaggs (Juanita) of Clinton. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and an extended family.
Services for Opal will be Saturday, December 21st, 2013 2:00 P. M. at Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939. Burial will follow at Keo Cemetery, Keo, Arkansas. Visitation will be Friday, December 20th, 2013 from 6-8:00 P. M. Bro. Gary Graves will be officiating.
My prayers are with ya'll. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was a sweet lady. So very sorry for your lost.
Vanessa, Debbie, Patricia - I'm so very sorry for your loss and will be keeping your dear family in my prayers during this difficult time. You have many wonderful memories of times shared with your mother that you will forever hold in your hearts. May God strengthen you in the coming days.

Dear Family, What a sweet sweet mama you had. You 3 girls hold each other up and be tough like she would want you to be.
I am so sorry for your loss. It was an honor to know your mother. She was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. She will be dearly missed by me and many many more as she touched so many. I hope you are comforted by knowing the ones that went before her welcomed her home at the gates of heaven. Love and prayers to each and everyone of you.
