Hugh Stonesifer

of Benton, AR

January 16, 1929 - November 28, 2013

Hugh C. Stonesifer, a retired Benton businessman, died Thursday at the age of 84 after a long battle with many continuing conditions associated with old age. He was in Hospice Care at the time of his passing. Hugh was born January 16, 1929 and passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2013.

Mr. Stonesifer is survived by his devoted spouse and soul mate of 53 years, Darcy; a daughter Patricia Runnels of Oklahoma; a son John and wife Mary of Benton; a son Randall and wife Paula of Benton; also a daughter Jana Evans and husband Neil of Benton; with many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family in other states.

Hugh was preceded in death by his mother, Bodie Smith of Benton; and sister Billie Mills of Oklahoma; among many others as would be expected with living a good and long life.

A private family memorial service was held in the home as requested by his spouse and children Sunday night, December 1st, and there will be no public service in respect for Hugh's final wishes and direction. He chose to be cremated with remains to be taken to a family plot at Brentwood Cemetery, Winslow in Northern Arkansas.

The Stonesifer family encourages readers to expressly love your family with all that is within you while they are here; choose to love them openly and intentionally today in spite of all else that comes up, the result will be fond memories with fewer regrets when these trying times come. We know that we are in your thoughts and prayers and are warmed and comforted by your sincere concern and thoughtfulness.

Thank you for the love and friendship through the many years, whether it was business or personal, to our dad and family; we are eternally grateful.

Well dad it has been 9 years since your death and your still with John. Mom died this year and now your ashes are to be buried/scattered in her back yard in Benton. They still did not give your last wish to be buried in your paid for plot. I am sorry and I do miss you very much.

Your loving Daughter
Pat.
