Sherry June Skeets, 67 of Ratcliff, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Ratcliff. She was born on October 10, 1946 in Paris to her parents Junior and Reva Nell (Godwin) Skeets. She worked as an apartment manager in Birmingham, Alabama and retired as a nurse working in Home Health and Hospice for the Department of Human Services. She loved being around family and friends, taking pictures, fishing and enjoyed attending Church at the House of Prayer Pentecostal Church where she was an active member.
She is preceded in death by her parents Junior and Reva Nell Skeets; brother, Billy Allen Skeets; sister, Brenda Skeets and daughter Susan Hatch.
She is survived by her companion of 15 years David Cobb of Ratcliff; daughter, Kelly Wright of Ratcliff; son, Jamie Strickland and wife LeeAnn of Charleston; brother, Michael Wright and wife Becky of Altus; grandchildren, Lindsey Wright, Jody Burns, Chelsey Strickland, Kendra Wright, Shera Wright, Hannah Wright and Gracie Strickland; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. James Hice. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Lowery, Christian Puckett, Kyle Studer, Colton Wright, Greg Tuck and Jonathan Holt.
I had some very good times with sherry. When I had here granddaughter Cheltsy Strickland she was a very excited lady. Sherry and her mother was the only one I trusted to watch mine and here son James first born to the family my prayers and though are with u every moment. She was a awesome mother n law and grandmother . Sherry u will always be with me in my heart and through my daughter Cheltsy Strickland I love u mom see u when it's my time to arrive at my fathers doors all my love Becky bowman
Have thought of Sherry often over the year although, I have not see her since high school. Sorry for your loss. May The Lord ease your sorrow.
