Thomas ''Leon'' Padgett, 79 of Conway, passed from this life to his eternal home on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Born February 14, 1934 in Conway, he was the son of the late Marion and Jessie Wright Padgett. Mr. Padgett loved spending time in the outdoors camping, boating, riding four wheelers, and teaching his children to ski. He was a heavy equipment operator and also a tugboat operator. He enjoyed playing guitar at the Senior Citizens Center and various places for numerous years. Mr. Padgett was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. His parents and one brother, Marion Eugene Padgett precedes in him death.
Survivors include his wife: Lillian Jean Johnson Padgett, daughter: Judy (Tavner) Henry of Mt. Vernon, sons: Wayne Padgett of Conway, Eugene (Lisa) Padgett of Conway, 7 grandchildren and 7.5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 Pm to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

I am so very sorry for the loss of Leon, and I dearly wish to be there today but because of health problems I won't be able to attend. My heart and prayers go out to you. I know that Leon lies in the arms of the Lord.

Jean and family so sorry for your loss. May God touch you with his hand of peace. Can you imagine the wonderful homecoming celebration when Leon entered the gates of heaven and his parents and Eugene there to great him to his new home. No more aches, pains or heart aches. You will see him again.
