Edna D. James, 75, of Alexander passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant. She was born May 9, 1938 in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Walter C. and Hazel Paralee White McGrew. Mrs. James was retired and one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
In addition to her parents, one son, Johnny C. Davis, Jr. also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Rex D. James of Alexander; four daughters, Mara L. Moody (Wayne) , Carol Ann Davis, Jennifer L. Bailey (Mark) all of Saline County, AR, and Leann McLean (Dan) of Queen Creek, AZ; four sons, Rex D. James, II (Edna) of San Diego, CA, and Gary A. James (Susan), Randy L. James, and Philip R. James (Amy) all of Paso Robles, CA; one sister, Erva June Williford of Ferndale, 19 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Benton officiated by Bro. Gordon Eagle.
A reception will immediately follow the memorial service at the Whispering Pines Community Center in Benton.
