I will remember Mrs. Hazel as a very kind and gentle soul with a smile that would warm your heart. She took pleasure in the important things in life...family, friends, nature and her faith.

She was a most caring person, as evidenced by the dedication of her life to the care of others in a decades-long nursing career—at which, she excelled. How wonderful to be able to fully realize your life’s calling!

Her fortitude was impressive, as many would not have fared as well as she amazingly did with the obstacles presented to her in the last years of her life. I believe these obstacles came her way as a blessing of sorts, for it was through these experiences that she came to know the full range of God's love and care for her. It presented an opportunity by which others could show their care and concern, and it afforded her a format by which to receive that love.

My hope for her is that she is now at peaceful rest, and that she has been brought home for eternity, reunited with loved ones who have gone on that wonderful path before her.

With fond remembrance,
