Richard D. Boone, age 61, of Bryant, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013.
He was born October 14, 1951 in Little Rock to the late Bill C. and Edna Lee Branstratter Boone. Ricky retired from Alcoa Metals, was currently working part-time at Walmart, and was a member of Mountainside United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Benton Boone of the home; one son, Aaron Boone and wife Rebekah of Sayre, PA; one daughter, Ashley Bolen and husband Clay of Paragould, AR; one brother, Mark Boone and wife Diane of Bryant, AR; seven grandchildren, Olivia, Jayke, Ryley, Avery, Dalton, Katie Jo, and Sawyer, beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and many friends..
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Bryant First United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Hemund and Rev. Hammett Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Bryant Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Ricky's cousins; Amanda Adams Haley, Maurey Miller, Brian Adams, Kathy Boone, Martin Boone, Tamara Boone Newsom, Ward Boone, and Wade Boone.
Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday (one hour prior to the service).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Cole Halley Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Bryant First United Methodist Church, 508 N. Reynolds Rd., Bryant, AR 72022.

Lynda, I was so, so sorry to hear of Ricky's passing. My heart aches for you and your entire family. I pray for God's comforting arms around you all as you say a "temporary" goodbye. Our faith and hope lies in our joyous reunion with the Lord himself. 'Our' sorrow runs the depths of the entire city of Bryant because of the closeness of community, friends and church family. You are very loved, Lynda by many people - lean on them and let them lift your burdens.
To your entire family - you have been blessed. Think on the good things and times together. Help each other heal. It won't be a sudden thing, so be patient with one another.
