I know that Heaven is a brighter place with Mr Medlin there. As a child in Bauxite he was my bus driver and more times then I can count he would come and pick me up and take me to church. People like AJ never realize the impact they have on a child they are just doing what the Lord called them to do. I am so sorry for your loss but I know where he is and he is waiting on his family to join him in the loving arms of our Savior. He truly Loved the Lord with all his heart and he was an awesome example to me.
I have known Brother AJ Medlin since I was a child and he was our mail carrier in Bauxite. He had a great sense of humor and was always happy. I had the privilege of attending churh with hima and Barbara at Mulberry Baptist Church in Benton in his later years. He was always a blessing to us with his great voice. I had the privilege of playing for him as he sang. I know that he is singing in Heaven those beautiful songs that he loved so much. He is probably teaching them to others in Heaven. But I know that he is praising God as he always did in message and song. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Barbara and girls, you are in our prayers. But I know that God will uphold yoiu in His mighty hands. Please contact us if we can help in any way.
Uncle AJ was always very interesting to me. I remember thinking we had a special connection because he also liked horses. Seemed he always had some really neat mama goats with babies that he would let us hold. I can remember as a child feeling really special that he would show me his animals and how they were special to him like mine are to me. Glad to know he suffers no more. I know he will be mussed greatly by everyone he knew. What a personality. Love him much :)
There is so many memories of Mr. Medlin. He was our mail carrier. He was a friend to my brother, Jimmy Hardin. I last saw him at Wallmart when I was visiting my family in Benton. He caught me up on news in Bauxite. Linda, I know you will miss your dad. May the Lord give you comfort at this. I remember our fun times we had in band together. God bless you and all your family.

Mr Medlin was a great supporter and encourger to me when I was president of the Florida Gospel Singing Convention in 2004. He was also a great supported of the Florida Convention through the years. He has been missed and will continue to be missed.
It was a joy to know Brother A.J. Medlin. May the Lord bless and comfort all the family during this painful time. How happy he must be to receive the glorious end of his precious faith in Christ Jesus. Soon, the circle will be unbroken.
