Cornelia Mendenhall, age 73, of Benton, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 18, 2013. She was born in Cedar Branch, AR on February 15, 1940 to the late Houston and Opal Heird. Mrs. Mendenhall was a Christian and loved the Lord. She enjoyed knitting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Mendenhall whom she loved very much.

Survivors include her sister Helen Joyce Merchant of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three nephews, Scott Merchant, Keith Merchant, and Joey Merchant; her aunt and uncle Bill and Melba Thompson of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; her special cousin, Conley Fikes of Little Rock, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff under the direction of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047).
