Charles Franklin Powell, 84, went to be with the Lord March 16. 2013. He was born May 19, 1928 to William E. Powell and Emma V Alexander in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sallie Powell; two sons; Tommy Charles Powell and wife, Sharon of Morrilton, Arkansas; James Franklin Powell of Gethsemane, Arkansas; two daughters; Debra Lynn Dardenne and husband Steve of Tillar, Arkansas, Donna Allison of Gethsemane, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; Jennifer Powell and Stephanie Powell Vega of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Nancy Chapman of Tillar, Arkansas, Adam Dardenne of Collins, Arkansas, Rachel Powell and, Tommy Charles ''Bubba'' Powell II of Morrilton, Arkansas and Taylor Allison of Gethsemane, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren; Alexandra Vega and Gavyn Vega of Pine Bluff,Arkansas, Lucas Chapman of Tillar, Arkansas and Mayson Dardenne of Monticello, Arkansas; one sister, Lorene Brown of Turlcok, California, one brother; R.L. Powell of Pine Bluff, Arkansas along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be Tuesday March 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Roller England Funeral Home (501)-842-3939 with burial in Flat Bayou Cemetery in Altheimer, Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday March 18, 2013 at Roller England Funeral Home from 6:00 8:00P.M with Bro. Bobby Alexander officiating.

Mr. Charlie was a good man and great friend of my Dad. I just know they are catching up on deer camp stories, crops and talking about their grandchildren. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy the good memories.

Donna, Mrs. Powell and entire family, I am so sorry to hear the loss of your dad & husband . May you have comfort in knowing he is in God's loving care. He was always smiling and joking whenever I saw him while working at Krogers 20-30 years ago. You are in my prayers.
