Lester will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, he was a wonderful young man with strong determination and convictions, a man of Christianity, willing to share with others. Lester was a fabulous Classmate of 1949, excellent Basketball player, always a pleasure to be around and he left his mark on everything he touched or was associated with, we will miss you Lester at the 49 reunions, but most of all, because who and what you are, a great human being, we all love you.

Mr Passmore you are going to be missed by a lot of good folks out there. Many fond memories of basketball trips together, hearing that great preaching voice and that great laugh of yours was just way out there. I still remember how sad I was when you left Timbo School and I did not get to be one of your students - I was so jealous. Thanks for being a special person to my brother Ronnie, he really looked up to you (all those Razorback games you watched together and all those miles to St Joe together.....). Fond farewell for I too will miss you.

There are no words to express our sympathy to the Passmore family. Lester was a preacher, teacher, friend and mentor to our family...but most of all her was wonderful Christian man. My fondest memory was in 6th grade when he taught me and Peg he read us "Tom Sawyer" we could not wait till the next time to learn more about the story. He was bestest friend to my late brother, Ronnie. My parents and other siblings had the utmost appreciation for him as a friend. To Delphia, children and grandchldren we send our best.

I really don't even know how to start to compliment a person like Lester. When I was a kid at a revival one night he witnessed to me. He said don't run away from the Lord its dangerous. He married Gary and I. So many weddings he performed. He also married Joyce and Alton. He was a wonderful neighbor to my father and mother in law [Ellis and Alma Martin]. Anyone that knew him could talk all day about the person he was. Thank you Lester Passmore.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will miss Lester greatly. When our greatest enemy 'death' strikes it is very hard to handle.
But God promises in the Bible he will sustain us if we throw our burdens on him (Psalm 55:22) We need to draw close to him in prayer.
We also have the hope of the resurrection so our sorrow is not unrelenting. We can look forward to seeing our dead loved ones again! (John 5:28,29).
I hope these scriptural thoughts bring some comfort to you in your grieving process.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. He was a good man and I could always count on getting a hug whenever I seen him. He would always say I was his little girl. He would have that smile on his face. He loved his family and not only that he loved his Lord. He is happy now! I love you all.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

Delpha, Tim, and Tony, we were so sorry to hear about Lester passing away. Bill and I want you to know that you and your families are in our thoughts and prayers. This community has lost a dear friend and neighbor. If anyone needed help, Lester was one of the first to be there. He is now walking with the God that he served for so many years. We can only imagine the rejoicing that took place when he arrived in Heaven. We were all truly fortunate to have had him in our lives. I have always admired the special relationship he had with his family. He was always so good to visit with my mom and dad when he could. I can truly say that I never heard anyone say a bad thing about Lester. We pray for strength for you during the days ahead. May God give you the comfort and peace that you will need to see you through these difficult days. If there is anything at all that we can do to help, please let us know. We love you all.
