As a young roughneck, I broke out in '79/'80 and worked along side with both Roger and Rusty. I remember Roger's stories of Vietnam and all the fun we had on the rig. Me as a young kid and Roger as a "old timer". I don't ever recall him not having a smile on his face. Even today, I still remember the men who "broke me out" and Roger was one of them who helped nurture a green hand and help turn him into a real roughneck. Roger's smile, friendship, and mentorship will be missed by all who have had the honor of knowing him.

Barbara, our hearts go out to you and the family at this time. We are very saddened to hear of Roger's death. May he rest in peace.
Spent a lot time with Roger at the end of our High School years and had some really good times. I know you never had a dull moment when he was home from work. I don't believe I ever seen Roger down, he was always laughing and can almost hear him now. He will be missed. Lost a good friend and a class mate. May God bless you and give you strength to carry on and know you will. Praying for all.
Barbara and family,

Barbara and family,
So sorry for your loss, I can only imagine what it would be like to lose you best friend, soul mate, husband and father to your children. I told my mom that the other day, you both always looked so happy together, like you had a unique kind of love, one of a kind. I know you will all miss him and my heart breaks for you all. May God bless you and your family and wrap his arms around you all to help comfort you in this time of need. If there is anything I can do for you please do not hesitate to call. Again I'm so sorry!

you are in our prayers
When I broke out as a roughneck, Roger was the pusher that hired me. I learned a lot from Roger and we laughed a lot too. He was a good man. I've told many stories about Roger and will continue too for as long as I can. As long as I worked for him he never really ever called me by my name. So I will say farewell to Roger as "The Mexican" . All us hands got a laugh out of that name, seeing as how I'm Choctaw Indian. Goodbye for now Roger. My prayers are with your family.
Barbara,
Matt & I, were so sorry to hear of your loss. May God reach down and wrap his loving arms around you & your family and give you comfort and Peace in the coming days.
