Mary C. Glymph Edwards, 87, of Benton was born in Grapevine, AR on July 29, 1925 to the late Anderson C. and Emma Mays Glymph.

In her early years she moved to Berkley, CA where she met and married Johnny Edwards. They later moved to Detroit, MI where she was employed with Ford Motor Company for over 30 years.

Upon her retirement she moved to Oakland, CA and then to Benton where she united with Johnson Street Church of Christ. She remained an active member until her health started to fail.

She was admitted to Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House where she expired on February 3, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Anderson C. and Emma Glymph; her late husband, Johnny Edwards; her daughter, Willie Mae Malvo; six brothers, Leon, Ulicious, Sr., Johnny, Anderson, Selton and Edward; one sister, Bernice Thomas and one grandson. She leaves to cherish her memory; two sisters, Gertrude Tollier and Lucille Issiah of Oakland, CA; two granddaughters, Lisa and Miisha Malvo of Oakland; two great granddaughters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family of the late Mary C. Edwards would like to give a very special thanks to her great niece, Linda Anderson for her special care, Johnson Street Church of Christ family, Saline Hospice, the Ballard Funeral Home and staff and to all others for their prayers, concerns and expressions of kindness. We love you all.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Johnson Street Church of Christ.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the church.
