Jo Anne Walker Jacobs, of Benton, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012. She was born in Spadra to the late Millard C. Walker and Emma Harmon Walker. She owned and operated Jo Anne's Hairstyles in Benton for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Benton, 50 year member of Calvary Baptist Church's choir, a Sunday School teacher and director, and a pillar of the church. She was a member of Ft. Nightly. Mrs. Jacobs loved the Lord, was a fantastic cook, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was loved by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Raymond Paul Jacobs; one son, Jeffrey Neil Jacobs, and her siblings.
Survivors include one son, Keith Paul Jacobs and wife, Tammy of Alexander; daughter, Krista Jean Hopkins and husband, David of Benton; three grandchildren, Jordan and Jaret Jacobs and Griffin Hopkins; one special friend, Bobbye Lovell, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Bro. Oscar Golden, Bro. Carl Wright, and Bro. Frank Thurman officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Visitation is from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 22, 2012 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jacobs spent her life serving others and most importantly the Lord.

Jo Anne was such a nice person. she was my hairdresser many years ago. But I felt we were friends.. So sorry to hear of her passing. But I know she was ready to meet her Lord and now she will have no more sorrow or pain.

I'm sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. We shared lots of Sundays together learning more about, worshiping & praising our Lord. I got to share a few times in the choir loft together with Ms. Jo Ann, as I got a little older. She was always a pleasure to see whether it was getting a hair cut or at the grocery store. My mom and Jo Anne's dad were siblings, so that meant we were cousins! I met Jo Anne at several reunions and always looked forward to seeing her and visiting with her. It is comforting to know that I will see her again some day in Heaven. She will be missed.
