John S. ''Big John'' Fleming, 82, of Osceola entered into rest Thursday, October 04, 2012 in Osceola. He was born Monday, March 30, 1930 in Carson Lake, AR to the late, Hugh Benjamin Fleming and Alice Ruth (Manchester) Fleming. He took over the family farm as a young man; farming, raising cattle, and quarter horses; showing them in the Tri State area. He also loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his three sons: Larry (Barbara) Fleming of Water Valley, MS, Phillip Fleming of Osceola and John T. (Elaine) Fleming of Benton, AR; one daughter: Vickie Lynn (Dennis) Goings of Osceola; six grandchildren: Kayla (Daniel) Selans, Jessica (Tony) Cox, Samuel Fleming, Michelle Fleming, Amanda Fleming and Jenny Lynn Goings; two great grandchildren: Rylee Cox and Liam Selans; one sister: May Frances Stanga of Covington, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 60 years, Betty (Rash) Fleming, three sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be held from 2:00 3:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Roller-Swift Chapel followed by a 3:00 PM funeral service. Burial will be in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. sorry for your loss! mr fleming was a good man. i knew him since i was a boy my dad bought several horses from him. he was always kind to me.

Dearest Fleming Family: my heart aches for you all during this diffcult and sad time. Yoth your parents were very dear to me and I loved them very much. Your dad was so kind and tender-hearted and would do anything for anybody! I know they are holding hands as they ride together on beautiful horses along heavens' magnificent landscapes.
