Eloise ''MeMa'' Kirkwood, 81, of Bryant passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at UAMS. She was born on February 9, 1931 in Tuscumbia, Alabama to the late W.B. and Mattie Staggs Scott. She retired from Dillards after working for 35 years. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one grandson, Justin Darter.

She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Darter (David) and Charlene Williams (Bob) all of Bryant; one brother, Jerry Scott (Sharon) of Sarasota, FL; one sister, Faye Hester (Cecil) of Tuscumbia, AL; three grandchildren, Robert Williams (Tiffany), Josh Williams (Emily), and Sarah Darter (Wes), and eight great grandchildren, Zachary Darter, Carys and Keeran Williams, Macy and Micah Uresti, Caroline Williams, and Cora and Bailey Jones.

She will also be greatly missed by numerous friends and one special friend, Ann Darter.

Cremation arrangements are by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).

A time of family visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30 at the funeral home.

Laveta Jestice is my mom. I was blessed to have met Eloise and become very acquainted with her. She was a very kind lady and was very kind to my mom. I know my mom will miss her very much.

Miss Eloise was a very special Lady & very respected in our store. She always had a smile & a story to tell us about when she came in. We all Loved her & enjoyed her, she will be missed deeply by anyone who knew her. Our Prayers & thoughts are with her Family & friends..
