Mrs. Mildred Gail Bennett, 76, of Joiner died at her home, Friday, August 31, 2012. Born Monday, March 16, 1936 in Evadale, Arkansas to Everton Edward Jones and Hazel (Bussey) Jones, she was a member of the Bassett Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate with the last class of Shawnee High School. She retired from American Greeting.
Survivors include her husband of 60 1/2 years: Billy Gene Bennett; four sons, Bryan Edward Bennett of Bassett, Gene Wellington Bennett and wife Sally of Joiner, William Kevin Dewayne Bennett and wife Pam of Dyess, and Leslie Jones Bennett and wife Martie of Wilson; one daughter, Evelyn Marie Bennett of Bassett, fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; one sister, Linda Lou Noland of Belle Glade, Florida; and one brother, Jerry Michael Jones of Belle Glade, Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jo Evelyn Faulk; and two brothers, Thomas Edward Jones and William Jay Jones.

We are so sorry to hear the news of Gail. Our memories are such that we can always look back to the times we played cards and enjoyed each others company with great pleasure. She was a sweet sweet lady and the children are blessed to have had such a person as a Mom. Our prayers are with you.
