I'm praying for peace and comfort for your family. It's hard to let someone go that we will all miss. We could always depend on Monte to come whenever we needed him and he always did the best he could for whatever problem we had. He always had such a good attitude that was infectious. I appreciate everything that he did for us so much. May God give you all the peace that surrpasses all understanding.

Montie enjoyed life to its fullest. He was always smiling and making anyone having a hard day laugh. He drew people into him with his impish smile that you just knew meant trouble. You never knew what he would say next and couldn't wait to hear it!

He was a diamond in the rough. Honest men who will tell you the truth even if it hurts are very hard to find. He surrounded himself with people he loved and trusted. I'm deeply humbled he included my family and I in that circle.

Montie loved a lot of things; hunting, fishing, Elvis's music, but nothing more than his "Bink". He once told me during a turn that when he had gotten home around 2am he had a killer headache. He said Bink massaged his head and the pain and stress of the day faded away. Montie was loved by everyone around him from the moment I met him as he will be forevermore.

Here's to you Montie, a day will never pass that I won't think of you and smile and thank God that you were my friend!

A person can go through life, without touching others along the way. Montie was never that way. He would share his life with others easily and truthfully. He would give without asking, do without expecting, and live without wanting. Montie will remain with us in our hearts and we should all try to be a little more like him in our own lives. The world is a little darker without him, but it is brighter because of him.Rest in peace my dear friend.

I didn't know Montie personally but learned of his talents as a respected carpenter and painter from Pam when she worked at the USPS. We also found he was a skilled hunter and avid fisherman, who made the most out of the outdoors and all that "Arkansas Fields & Streams" had to offer! From "Bink" to Bucks, and "deer to ducks" I knew Montie was one amazing guy. How special he was to Pam, and he to his wife. He fought a hard, albeit short battle, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. God speed Montie Nelson. You have passed from the arms of your wife to those of our Creator.

Montie, you were such a help getting me settled in Conway, and every month you were the highlight of our turns. I see you bursting in the front door with that big ole grin and saying "Let's go burn one!" I thank God that you were in my life, even for such a short time. All our talks, laughs and stories about Elvis and Graceland will never be forgotten. "You" will never be forgotten.

R.I.P. Montie. You are the kind of person that no matter how mad someone was as soon as you walked into the room moods were lifted and there was instant laughter. I will miss the times we used to go hunting together, helping you with your house and all the silly converstations we had. You will forever be with me. Save some fish and deer for me for when we are once again reunited. p.s. tell Elvis who is also my moms favorite to keep rockin' and to keep his schedule open i want to meet him too. RIP Montie you will never be forgotten.
