Remember (It was the Veteran)
Author Unknown

IT WAS THE VETERAN,
Not a reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

IT WAS THE VETERAN,
Not a poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

IT WAS THE VETERAN,
Not a lawyer, who has given us the right to fair trial.

IT WAS THE VETERAN,
Not the campus organizer, who has given us the right to demonstrate.

AND IT IS THE VETERAN,
Who salutes the flag,
Who served under the flag,
And whose coffin is drapped by the flag!

So sorry to read Glenn's obituary in the Democrat/Gazette today. He wasn't well when I saw him at the cemetery for his sister's service this spring. He was a friend of my older brother when he was a neighbor at Magnet Cove. You're in my thoughts and prayers with sympathy, Reta Lowery Woosley

I will miss Mr. Glenn so much. He was always ready with a great story about his travels or a funny joke. He was so good at making everyone laugh. I believe his laugh was one of the best I have ever heard!!
