John H. Wilkey, 76, of Bassett entered into rest Monday, March 12, 2012 in Osceola. Born February 12, 1936 in Mississippi County to the late Roy M. and Mary Wilkey, he is of the Baptist Faith, a US Army veteran and retired Superintendent at Evadale Products. He is survived by his daughter: Sharon Wilkey of Bassett; two grandchildren: Jeanie Wood of Blytheville and T.J. Wood (Chelsea) of Leachville; two great grandchildren: Kailee and Abbey Redman of Manila; two sisters: Melba Castleman of Salem and Mary Moore of Jonesboro; one brother: Mitchell Wilkey (Sharon) of Salem and numerous relatives and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Linda Carlton Wilkey.
There are really no words that can comfort you in times like these but we wanted you to know if you need anything to let us know. He will be always be remembered as a fine man. He is now reunited with Miss Linda and I bet they are reliving old times right now. Be strong but if you can't be close cause we will be there.

Sharon and Family I'm very saddened by your loss. I have some great memories of John one being when He would come home from work in that old white truck He would always say its PAYED FOR, and we would all have a big laugh. John was great man, I know He and Linda are having a big meal today. May GOD bring you confort now and in the days ahead
