Ophelia Pauline Bowers, 88, of Osceola entered into rest Monday, December 19, 2011 in Memphis, TN. Born August 1, 1923 in Warren, TN to the late Thomas Lander and Shellie Mae Belt, she was a member of First Baptist Church Osceola and a homemaker. She is survived by her son: Mike Bowers of Paragould; three daughters: Joyce Ann Delancey of Morrilton, Linda C. Bohannon and Lisa Gatewood both of Osceola; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Bowers, her parents, one son: Jimmy Bowers, one grandson: Rusty Delancey; two sisters: Virginia Hamilton and Ruby Gossett and one brother: Thomas Belt.

We are so sorry for the loss of your Mother. WE are distant cousins and met her for the first time in 1999.
We came to her home to meet Aunt Shellie andthey were living together. Your Mom was such a special person she treated us so special and like she had known us all her life. After that we keep in touch as often as we could and visited occationally from Wi. Phone calls to her made us so close to her we will miss her greatly. Know you are all in our thoughts and prayers and will NEVER forget this wonderful woman.May God keep her in the palm of his hand and hold her close for eternity.
