Eddy Joe Poynor, born October 21, 1943 in Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Jackson, Mississippi. His parents were W.O. ''Dude'' and Pauline Poynor of Osceola, Arkansas. Eddy had fought a long battle with cancer. He is survived by a son Jeremy Poynor and daughter in law Lora Poynor of Jackson, Mississippi; his fiancé Sue Robinson of Richland, Mississippi; her children: Rebecca Roberts, Debra Bishop, Terri Lynn Coody, and Gary Fowler. Eddy has lived in Mississippi for many years and will be missed by many friends and family. He is survived by his sisters and brothers and their families, LaWanda and Ron McMillian, Alfreda Fryer of Paragould, Arkansas, Wally and Cheri Poynor of Cardwell, Missouri, Bob and Bonida Poynor of Paragould, Arkansas, Larry and Selena Poynor of Cardwell, Missouri, Perry Poynor and Vicki Andrus of Louisiana, and Steve and Sandi Poynor of Gautier, Mississippi. Eddy has many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Eddy grew up in Osceola then went to the Army. After the Army, he went into construction work and moved to Mississippi. He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church.
