Gerald ''Mack'' McDaniel, 81, of Hardy, formerly of Osceola, entered into rest Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Newport. Born June 19, 1930 in Arbyrd, MO, he was of the Baptist Faith, an Air Force Veteran and worked for Siegal Roberts and SMC Regional Medical in Personnel. He is survived by his wife Lela Faye McDaniel; two sons: Keith Lee McDaniel of Greenville, SC and Mark McDaniel of Charleston, SC; step-children: Donnie Reams of Paragould, AR, Rhonda Pettit and Denise Woodward both of Osceola; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one sister: Donna Levins of Colorado; one brother: L.V. McDaniel of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Cheri Therese McDaniel; sisters: Lucille Jeffers, Ruth Williams, Juanita McDaniel and one brother: Carl McDaniel.

I’m very sorry to hear about the passing of “Mac”. I loved to spend time with Mac watching the Cardinals and eating catfish fish. He was a passionate Cardinal fan and a very good friend.

Faye I am so sorry to hear that Mac passed away. I know he would not have wanted to continue in the way he was. He was a man full of life and lived it his way. I will always consider him and you my family.
