Earnestine Higgs 88 of Mayflower went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 31, 2011. She was born November 3, 1922 in Mayflower to the late Ernest Harmon and Maudie Legate Harmon. She was a home maker, member of Northside Pentecostal Church and the widow of Melvin Higgs.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Turner and husband, Jackie of Mayflower and Sharon Efird and husband Alan of Malvern, three sisters, Demzel Meeks of Morrilton, Shirley Evans of Mayflower and Bettie Rhoades of Quitman, grandchildren, Terry Turner(Susan), Gerry Turner, Tim Turner (Stephanie) Holly Hudson (Allan), Andrea Goss (Jon), Alyssa Norris (Sean), Alana Ezetta (Samuel) Amanda Ray (Gary) and Logan Efird, and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Carol Dycus, Reba Oliver, Willie Faye Oliver, Erma Jean Harmon and One Brother Herman Harmon and a great granddaughter Anna Hudson.
Services are 10 am. Tuesday August 2, 2011 in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with burial in Mayflower Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home.

I loves Ms. Earnestine SO much. She was a precious, precious person. I have many good memories of her and I will keep them 4ever.
So sorry to hear about Ms. Earnestine, I have some fond memories of her from SPNR when I worked there. My condolences to you Judy and all the other family members.

Aunt Earnestine was a lovely lady. She will truly be missed, but always in our stories and memories.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. I will always remember her sweet smile. I'm really glad that our Moms were neighbors and that you and I became friends, too. When Mom would hear Mrs. Higgs voice across the hall, she would smile and say, "that is my neighbor". I think it was a comfort, in a way, that someone was there.

I am so sad to hear about Mrs. Higgs. She was one of the sweetest, kindest ladies I have ever known. I have many good memories of her and Mr. Higgs and their family. I know she loved her family. I will be praying for each of you.
