James Lamar Murphy age 76 of Blytheville, AR passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Heritage Square Nursing Home to be with the lord. Mr. Murphy was born in New Albany, Mississippi and worked at American Greetings for 23 years before becoming disabled and was a member of Clearlake Baptist Church. Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gearldine Murphy of Blytheville, son James Danny Murphy of Blytheville, daughter Sandra Smith (Mike) of Keiser, daughter Karon Hall (John) of Armorel, 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Thomas Pete and Vera Cartwright Murphy, one brother Billy Murphy and a sister Deloris Sawyer.

So very sorry for your loss - I know the pain well, but it is comforting knowing that if we are saved, we will see our loved ones again someday, and for eternity! I have many fond memories being around your parents, they were solid, good people, and good neighbors. My heart goes out to you and my love and prayers are with you....

Sorry to here about Mr. Murphy. I remember him well from drinking coffee at Dawson's BBQ. He was a very nice person, and always make talking to a good time. My prayers are with you all. God has taken a angel home.
