Larry Leon Moye, age 64, passed away at his home in Cave City on Tuesday, June 07, 2011. He was retired and of the Baptist faith.
Born on January 27, 1947 in Los Angeles, California to Gerald Leon Moye and Opal
McAlister Moye, Larry was a hard worker, good at ''fixing things'', and a good 'ol boy, helpful to anyone in need.
Larry graduated from Searcy High School and worked at Herd's Sausage Co., Harts Bread Co., White-Rodgers of Batesville, Townsend, Texas pipeline and did body work, carpentry, appliance repair, farming and contractor work. Larry loved to be in nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife, Shirley, an infant brother, and his granddaughter, Brooke Michelle Moye.
He is survived by his father, his son, William Todd Moye, daughter-in-law Christina, and granddaughter, Ashley Moye of Evans, Georgia, his daughter, Loretta Elaine Wenger and grandson Zachary Moffitt of Searcy. Others include one brother, Audie Moye of Cave City, two sisters, Melanie Hand of Coweta, Oklahoma and Tanya Sensabaugh of Cave City, 6 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great-nieces, two aunts, an uncle and several cousins.
He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 11, at the Roller Crouch
