Louis and family, I want to let you know we were sorry to see Wade's obituary in the paper. I can imagine you and your family's sadness. As I knew Wade, she was so vibrant, pleasant, and quite humorous, all the time being a true "lady". I just wish I had kept in touch more. This is on behalf of Betty and Guy Shaw, and Bobby and Katie Smithwick. (niece and nephew of Walter Reed.) Uncle Walter and Aunt Vernon would bring Wade down some in summers and treated us all to swimming at Wall Doxey State Park. It was fun times.

I am Walter Reed's niece. Wade and I are close in age, and we were teenagers together and occasionally spent time together. You have our condolences. I loved Aunt Vernon and spent summer vacation time with them in Memphis; I slept in Wade's room. Many pleasant memories.
