Robert James Huddler

of Fox, AR

August 29, 1943 - July 2, 2010

Robert James Huddler of Fox moved to his beautiful new residence in heaven on Friday, July 2nd, 2010, at 7:50am. He was born in Beeville, TX on August 29th, 1943, to Clara Viola (Thompson) Huddler and Robert Lee Huddler. In younger years, Robert worked in the oilfields in TX, at one time managing a drilling operation. Later in Roswell, New Mexico, he worked at a wrecking yard and drove an 18-wheeler. He was an avid reader and had a God-given gift for understanding electrical and mechanical things. For a time, he maintained and operated a bull-dozer. For the past 22 years he was a highly qualified service technician for McClung Ford. He retired from there after August 3rd of 2009 when we were informed of his Multiple Myeloma cancer. For the next eleven months, he very bravely fought a losing battle, rarely complaining. He was a dedicated Christian and for 24 years, he faithfully attended and supported the church he loved at Turkey Creek Trinity Pentecost Church. He was a man with a lot of wisdom and a great sense of humor. He was a wonderful husband and a wise and caring father and grandfather.

Robert is survived by his wife of over 23 years, Edna Huddler of their home in Fox. A son, Richard Huddler and wife Kathryn, their children Tyler, Maris, and Mason, a daughter Sharon Branscum and husband Mark, their daughter, Darla, a daughter, Karen and her daughters, Kristina and Caitlyn, a daughter, Lisa and her daughters Kyla and Dana Ford, and great granddaughter, Karyna (daughter of Kyla Ford.) A son, Paul Griggs and wife Pat, their children Lila, Alex, Paul Isaac and Isabella, and great granddaughter Naomi (daughter of Lila Ross) and great grandson Trust (son of Alex Cortez), a daughter Lynn, and her daughters Cheyenne and Kodi, and daughter Stephanie and husband David Camp and their children Kyle, Brandon, Bobbi, Aleice, Ariana and David James. Robert is also survived by a half-sister Thelma Siddle and her daughter Myra and her children and son Jimmy and his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clara and Robert Lee huddler, his first wife Darlene Walters Huddler, a son Christopher, a grandson Hunter (son of Lynn), and a half-brother Thomas Kinard.

His wife, 7 children, 20 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and little dog Sammie Joe will all miss him but we're grateful that we have wonderful memories and we'll be able to join him in the Father's house someday soon.
