Mary Alice Morgan, 80, of Moorefield, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born May 18, 1927 in Guion, Arkansas to Elisha M. Sheffield and Grace Bobbitt Sheffield.
She was a member of the Moorefield Methodist Church for many years and a member of the Mary Elizabeth Moore Club. She and her husband Clyde Ralph Morgan were owners and operators of a grocery store in Moorefield for several years, and was also a secretary at Rock-Moore water department for several years.
She was the ''Boss'' of her entire family, the leader that everyone followed, and was always doing something for her family. Every Sunday after church for many years she always cooked lunch for her children and their spouses. Her children and grandkids brought her much enjoyment throughout the years, and she was most proud of her family.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years Clyde Ralph Morgan, 2 daughters, Clyda Felts and her husband Steve of Moorefield, Cathy Nash and her husband Randy of Moorefield; 3 Grandchildren, Brittany Nash, Scott Felts and Kim Stalker; 4 Great Grandchildren, Alli and Morgan Felts, McLain and John Todd Stalker.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Chris Goodwin; 1 great grandson, Steven James Felts; and 1 brother, Dale Sheffield.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., at the Moorefield Methodist Church, with Rev. Buddy Hamner and Catherine McSpadden officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.
Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Medlock, John David Morgan, Robert Dean Coles, Scott Stalker, Scott Felts, Leighton Hardin. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Homer Brooks, Ronnie Brooks and Glen Pool.
Clyda, Cathy and Clyde Ralph, So sorry to have happened upon this notice. It has, as you see, been a few years but just in case this is still open and you see this, just want you to know I still think of Mary Alice and all of you. It is hard to read this notice without going way way back to all of the memories we all had.

Cathy, Clyda and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of Mary Alice. She was a beautiful and special person. She was like a second Mother to me growing up and I will miss her alot.
