CPO-SS David C. Farmer, US Navy retired, age 74, of North Little Rock, passed away May 26, 2007. David was born September 7, 1932 to the late Jesse and Inez Kimbrell Farmer. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of NLR. David retired with twenty-one years of Naval Service. He was also employed by Sears for nineteen years. David was a volunteer on the USS Razorback Submarine on display in North Little Rock.
David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane Farmer; daughter, Charlotte Burtts (Mark); son, Paul Farmer (Becky); daughter, Cheryl Zerell (Phillip); four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Dr. J. C. Myers officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, NLR (791-7400). Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, 120 Riverfront Park Drive, NLR 72119.

Dear Family of David Farmer,

My deepest sympathies to all of your family. I had some wonderful times at the Farmer home when I was a little girl. Mr. Farmer teased me and treated me like one of the family instead of just Charlotte's friend. I thought of him as a father figure and Mrs. Farmer as another mom. Jane, You could not live with David for 50 years and not know he loved you very much. Almost everytime we were together he would tell me about Jane.
