Loyd Freeman Blankenship, 80, of Cash, died Tuesday, January 9, in Jonesboro. He lived most of his life in the Cash area and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ.
Survivors include his brother, L. R. Blankenship of Elaine, Arkansas; 2 sisters, Norma Newsom and Ila Felts, both of Jonesboro; 6 nephews, 3 nieces, and 19 great-nephews and great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Minnie Blankenship and 3 brothers, Gerald, Joe and Jessie Blankenship.
Funeral services will be graveside at 10:00 a.m., Friday, at Unity Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
