Bill & family, I was so shocked to open the paper and read that Jewell had "entered into eternity." We call all hold on to the promise that we'll see her again and that she is happy being with the Lord. When I went to New Covenant Church she was always there with a kind word and a hug. In fact the last time I saw her was at Wal Mart (don't we see everyone there?) and she gave me a BIG HUG and we talked for several minutes. Jewell was a wonderful, caring person and will be missed. You all are in my thoughts and prayers!

Jewell, we will miss you. I still hear your voice as I recall those fond memories of spending time at your home and being friends with your children. I miss the garage sales which seemed to be more about just being with people you care about than they were about selling anything. To Kyle and Sheryl, I am so sorry. Your mom was a fantastic lady and we all loved her and will miss her immensely. To BIll and the rest of the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Randy Hooker

Bill, Sheryl and Kyle, I was so sorry to read about Jewell. I feel so ashamed for not knowing about her being sick, living so close to her. Our friendship goes back a long way, starting with us being friends at Fordyce Elementary. God bless all of you I know it will never be the same for all of you. Nancy Carroll

Dear family, I am just heartbroken to learn of Jewell's death. All day yesterday, after I learned about it, her voice and laughter rang through my head. I kept remembering her favorite expressions and her soft chuckle when something tickled her. Her slow smile that crept across her face when she was amused, is etched in my memory. Many days as our kids played together, we drank numerous cups of coffee as we tried to solve the world's problems or just talked about the everyday issues of life that we faced daily. It hurts to know that those days are forever behind me now. But the memory of her sweet spirit forever will be with me as long as I am here. Jewell was the best friend a person could have, and even though we seldom saw each other in the last years, I still consider myself fortunate to have her as a friend. God bless you all. Love, Sandra
