I was sorry to hear about Veda. I well remember the days and nights I stayed at her house when we were young girls. She was older than me. I am Christine's age and my sister Betty was a friend of Charlotte. Veda gave my first permanent. She was a friend of my mother - Ida Hames. Again, I'm sorry for your loss. Marie
My mother, Nona Evans Gossett, was Veda's cousin. I was so sorry to hear about Veda's death. My mother and Veda were good friends until my mother died at age 58 in 1973. My condolences to all.
Our mother, Ava Evans Fugatt, and Veda were cousins and they often reminisced about the family. We enjoyed listing to their conversations. Ava’s daughters – Marie, Maxcine, Peggy and Janice.

I was saddened when I learned of Veda's death. My mother was so fond of her as was I. I have pictures of her when she worked with my mother when I was a child. I saw Veda a number of years ago at a Lyon College theater program and she was as beautiful then as she was when she was a young woman. I also remember playing with Charlotte when we were children. My sincere condolences to all Veda's family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have been Veda's neighbor for years and I will miss her. My thoughts and Prayers are with you. Mary Powell
Veda and my family were neighbors in the late 80's. When we moved from there I missed seeing her out my kitchen window. She and I always exchanged a wave or a hand gesture to let the other one know that we had a baked goodie to share ...she was a wonderful cook and I can only hope my goodies were just as good to her...I know she had a "whole world" of friends that will miss her deeply. Thanks to God for letting me and my family, have the pleasure of knowing her. Our thoughs are only good ones to reflect on. Now it is time for her to rest and be with her other loved ones.
We were Veda's next door neighbors from 1986 to 1990 she was a wonderful woman who will be missed. She was like a grandmother to us, baking cookies and allowing me to play her piano for hours anytime I wanted.
