Lucinda Robinson Tackett

of Little Rock, AR

February 18, 1943 - September 30, 2018

Lucinda Robinson Tackett, 75, made this a more beautiful world on February 18, 1943 and returned home on September 30, 2018 after a tremendously brave and courageous fight with Multiple Myeloma. She graduated from North Little Rock High School, eventually earning her BSRN working as a geriatric nurse. She was a long-time member of the Twentieth Century Club. This organization provides lodging for people traveling to Little Rock for cancer treatment. Many of the Lodge residents are Multiple Myeloma patients who received treatment alongside Lucinda. She was a great homeroom mom, ballerina, cheerleader, loved working puzzles, playing bridge, daily walks including world problem solving with Annette and created the ever-popular palindrome, snap-n-pans.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents; Herzog Henry and Cornelia Bates Robinson, of whom she was the true apple in their eye. Lucinda was also preceded by her sister-in-law; Carolyn Sutter, brother-in-law; Guy Amsler and his wife Barbara. She is survived by her adoring husband; C.F. Buddy Tackett. He truly loved her like no other, Lucinda and Buddy raised three fabulous daughters; Amy Tackett, Beth Shields (Robert), and Cindy Murphy (Mark). Her sweet spirit shown brightest while on grandmother duty to her three grandchildren; Jack Shields, Joe Shields and Zoe Murphy. Lucinda also leaves one niece; Cathy Rogers (Chris), two nephews; Guy Amsler III, Chris Amsler (Pam) and her loving caregiver; Bridgette White.

We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy as well as the nurses and staff on the Fourth Floor Infusion Clinic at the UAMS Cancer Institute. In Lieu of flowers please make memorials in Lucinda's name to the Twentieth Century Club, Hope Lodge, 4011 Maryland Ave, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.

A Rosary will be held 7 pm, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Christ the King Church, 4000 North Rodney Parham. A Funeral Mass will follow Thursday morning at 10 am with Monsignor Malone officiating.

9/30/18 Lucinda earned her wings& joined her Heavenly Father. Angels who have gone before her welcomed her with embrasses, songs and laughter😇My thoughts raised back to our early 20 th Century days of fund raising dance routines with our husbands and working with a very old house full of grateful cancer patienceOnly 50 member were possible When one retired u could vote someone in. We worked at Carti together filled case studies and greetied patients before and after procedures It was an honor to be in Lucinda’s younger group. We talked about our daughters a lot🤣May you find comfort from our tears and hugs. She loved you all dearly💓😇

Dear Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. May God’s promise bring you comfort. There will be “a new earth... and He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore...I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:1-5

Buddy and family...so sad to read of Lucinda's passing but happy she is free of pain now and making her heavenly journey. From our business group, she might have been voted "sweetest spouse" with her kind demeanor and sincere interest in everyone's family and life. Even during her tough struggle with that horrible disease, I distinctly remember a sparkle in her eye during our conversation from a few years ago...what strength and dignity she had!
