Charles A. Beasley, 88, a resident of Charleston passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, in Fort Smith.

He was born November 3, 1929, in Tyrone, Kentucky to the late Haden and Rosa (Fint) Beasley. Charles was a veteran of the United States Navy as a Boatswain's Mate Second Class. After his military service he spent his working years as a diesel mechanic. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Lou Beasley and 12 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Ann Thweatt, Lorraine Underwood and Lisa R. Stinnett, all of Charleston; three grandchildren, Charles Underwood, Joleena Douglas and Randy Stinnett; three great grandchildren, Luke Douglas, Preston Stinnett and James Douglas and a brother, Sam Beasley of Franklin County, Kentucky.

Services and burial will be private in the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
