Doy Lee Tate, 80 of Ozone, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Russellville. He was born on January 6, 1938 in Low Gap, Arkansas to his parents Jack and Florence Tate.

He worked as a truck driver for many years and was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed being outdoors, and loved his Chihuahua's.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Faith Tate, one son Timothy Tate, one brother Billy Tate, two sisters Charlotte Jackson and Deborah Ham.

He is survived by his son Richard Tate of Ozone; grandson Todd Tate of Ozone; Brother Rex Tate of California; one sister in law Barbara Avery of California.


There are no services scheduled at this time, cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville.

We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Tate’s passing. He was a great man who would do anything in his power to help others. I only met him one time in person, but that was enough to leave a huge impression. There’s not many in this world like him & his passing has left a huge void to all those that had the pleasure to have met him & to have known him. Richard & Todd, y’all will be in our thoughts & prayers.
