Andy Ray Whitaker, 73, of Forrest City, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born Thursday, August 17, 1944 to Andy Whitaker and Ruby Lancaster Whitaker in St. Francis County, Arkansas.
Mr. Whitaker is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Frankie Shafer Whitaker, of the home; one daughter, Sandra Robinson (Ronald), of Moro, Arkansas; one brother, Lamar Clay Whitaker (Doris), of South Elgin, Illinois; and one sister-in-law, Ellen Hendrix (Wayne), Weiner, Arkansas; and four Nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Andy Whitaker.
Mr. Whitaker liked his cars and loved to work on them. He was of Baptist faith. He retired from Palestine-Wheatley School District after thirty-three years.
Services for Mr. Whitaker will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna. Burial will follow services at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas.
