Darrell L. McCracken, age 69, of Mountain Home passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Mountain Home. He was born to Milburn and Erma McCracken (Knight) on October 22, 1948 in Mountain Home.
Darrell started working at a gas station at the age of 14 and even though he had a life changing accident he worked hard all of his life. He worked for 19 years at Union Special in professional sales and then 20 more years in professional manufacturing sales and management where he traveled extensively for business.
On December 24, 1968 Darrell married the love of his life Donna Queary, and they spent 49 wonderful years together. He was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church for many years. Darrell was a man who always saw the glass half full, was very patriotic, and was very generous to his family and fellow man. He was an outdoorsman at heart who loved hunting, fishing, and taking care of his cattle. He especially enjoyed watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and SEC football and basketball.
Darrell is survived by his wife Donna of Mountain Home; one daughter: Ramey McCracken of Mountain Home; one sister: Glenda Hunnell (Ken) of Lakeview, Arkansas; two brothers: Richard McCracken (Rebecca) of Fairview, Arkansas and David McCracken (Evelyn) of Flippin, Arkansas; one sister-in-law: Colleen McCracken of Gassville, Arkansas and a very extensive family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dale McCracken.
A visitation will be held on Friday May 11, 2018 at Roller Funeral Home from 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. with family receiving friends from 6-8 P.M… A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday May 12, 2018 at Roller Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Sam Bailey officiating. Interment will be held at Promise Land Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
