January 9, 1935 - May 1, 2018

Marvin Edward George, 83, of Mayflower, AR, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 1, 2018. He was born January 9, 1935 in Formosa, AR to the late Charles and Fairy Francis Lavern (Chew) Teas. Marvin was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Ann Finley.

Marvin was a faithful member of the Northside Apostolic Church in Mayflower. He served in the Korean War as a United States Marine. Marvin enjoyed crappie fishing, gardening, feeding his birds and just being outdoors. He loved to go to Smack's Diner for breakfast with his special friends, Wendell and Shelby Collins, who were always a big help to him. At Smack's he was able to visit all his lifelong friends. A special thanks to Martha and Carolyn for always being there for him and being such good friends and thank you to Jimmy Joe and Teresa Johnson. Marvin was loved very much by his friends and family, who will dearly miss his humor and meek quiet spirit.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, daughter, Patricia Kay Hensley of Bee Branch, grandchildren, April French (Jacob) of Conway, Amy Williams of North Carolina, Matthew Finley of Greenbrier; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Leah, Brice, and McKaylen, siblings, Margaret Huett (Buddy) of Mayflower, MaeDean McClain of Conway, Charles F. Teas (Jenny) of Mayflower, Jimmy Teas (Joyce) of Heber Springs, Jerry Teas of Mayflower, Larry Teas (Lila) of Center Ridge, Elizabeth (Tim) Long of Mayflower, and Teresa Mathews (Jimmy) of Scott; and a host of family and friends.

Celebration of Life (Potluck) will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 12:00pm Noon at 41 Windsong Way in Mayflower.
