Mollie Pauline Cooper

of Marshall, AR

January 19, 1918 - February 17, 2018

Mollie Pauline Cooper, age 100 of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at Good Samaritan in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born near Big Creek in Harriet, Arkansas on January 19th, 1918 to Rankin and Essie (Huckabee) Sutterfield. Pauline grew up on the family farm with her older brother, Tedford where her Papa was a farmer and blacksmith and her Mama was a homemaker.

Pauline married Howard Morrison in 1934. They lived in Harriet, Arkansas and raised three children, Don, Darlene and Pam. Howard passed away in 1972 and in 1977 Pauline married Fred Cooper of Marshall, Arkansas. Together they enjoyed being parents and grandparents to the mutually joined families. After the death of her husband, Fred and son, Don she moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 2010 to be near her daughters, Darlene Vincent and Pam Massey.
There have been many changes in her life span of 100 years. Pauline went from horse and wagons to space travel and cell phones. She possessed a strong will and was a very hard worker. She held many jobs during her life, such as cotton picker, fruit picker, restaurant cook, cleaning houses and taking in laundry for people, working in a cannery and a hospital laundry. A lot of love went into her quilts and crocheted pieces that she gave to her children and grandchildren. She also left them laughing with some of her funny sayings. She was quite the fantastic cook. Pauline has been faithful to her family and to her God and was greatly loved.

Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Vincent and husband Charles of Mountain Home and Pam Massey and husband Tim of Oakland; stepsons, Gorman Cooper of Marshall and Leon Cooper, also of Marshall; stepdaughters, Helen Horton of Marshall and Norma Barger of Quitman; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brother, her son, a great-grandson and one daughter-in-law.

Funeral services for Pauline will be 1:00 PM Thursday, February 22nd, 2018 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Phillip Clark officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery in Harriet, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Michael Vincent, Ricky Vincent, Shawn White, Shaun Massey, Justin Massey and Tommy Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicky Morrison and Jeff Vincent.

Pauline was such a sweet lady - I always loved visiting with her. It doesn't matter how long we get to keep our parents with us, it's never enough time. I know you'll miss her, but your memories of Pauline will help you through this difficult time. Prayers for comfort during this difficult time.

Pauline has been a part of our lives ever since I was a kid, as has her family and step family. She always seemed happy, and she was always sweet to us. The main memories that I will keep of Pauline, however, involve her humor. She was, no doubt, the funniest woman we ever met. I think a good sense of humor often indicates a good heart, and in her case I know that to be so.
